Valentine

For some reason this year, I’m coming up short of ideas for Valentines day. Fortunately the ol’ search on TBSITW comes in handy. I typed in ‘Romantic’ and you get some handy Romantic categories. I also tried Valentine and Love. The results are mixed.

If you have any great Romantic Moments, share with the rest of the ‘Best Stuffers’!

Hollywood does it better

Yes, there is something about the formulaic Rom Com plot line that draws us in and makes us wish our lives were as predictable as a Meg Ryan (in her better days) film. Yet with so many variations of basically the same ending, which journey down the path of ‘happily ever after’ is the best?

Boobs!

Posted by Adrian Fri, 09 Feb 2007 08:42:00 GMT

What is it with boobs? The other day I was checking out our stats, and I noticed that for all the search queries that people use to find our site, around a 1000 people a day find our site by searching for ‘boobs’. Last time I checked I found we are on the second page of google. Looking at other popular search queries, it is generally broken down to porn stars, certain best body parts and other weird likes. Thanks google! ;)

A quick Happy Australia Day to our fellow Aussies wherever you are around the world! We hope you have a great day at the beach / family BBQ / pub /pool or at home with a cold one!

On another note, if we seem like we’ve been quiet as of late it mainly due to finishing up a few smaller projects and the like before we go full steam ahead with the vast number of updates with plan for TBSITW.

So don’t be sad, we definitely haven’t forgotten about you! ;-)

Fireworks

Well, it been a big year for TBSITW and we’d like to thank our members for their wonderful support. Without your contributions, suggestions and general all round niceness, we wouldn’t have come so far. We have lots in store for 2007, including more social goodness such as chat and forums, loads of new features, plus we’ll even throw on a new lick of paint or two. We hope you’ll join us in 2007 as we continue to make “Best Stuff” better.

From the team at TBSITW, we send you a heartfelt thank you and all the “Best” for 2007!

6 Diet Christmas Films (Low on sugar)

Posted by Luke Sat, 23 Dec 2006 19:37:00 GMT

Christmas Films

If you switch on your TV around this time of year, you’re bound to get Christmas shoved down your throat, whether you like it or not. Broadcasters across the land play any old movie or TV series special that has a vaguely Christmas theme. It’s a pretty sure bet that you’ll be able to catch ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ sometime over the next week. If you’re opposed to watching the same old repeated crap this year, then you might like this list of Christmas films, handpicked by the members of TBSITW!

Love Actually

Love Actually is the tale of ten intertwining love stories set in the frantic month before Christmas. Ok, so it’s a romantic comedy with a Christmas theme, but it’s a rather good one. With a all-star cast including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Keira Knightley, Martin Freeman, Emma Thompson, this is fair easier to sit through then “It’s a Wonderful Life” and it will still keep your grandma happy…

A Charlie Brown Christmas

The ever depressed Charlie Brown, in an effort to understand whys he’s always down around the holidays, seeks to find the true meaning of Christmas. As always, Charlie goes through his normal throes of emotional torment before he’s thrown a breadcrumb of Christmas joy at the end of the film. I never quite understood the attraction of Charlie Brown cartoons, maybe I wasn’t sadistic enough to enjoy Charlie’s pain…
